Dutch out of favour in corporate reporting
Dutch stock exchange listed companies are increasingly publishing their annual reports in English only, according to research by financial PR bureau Citigate.
Of the 73 annual reports looked at this year, just over half the blue-chip companies (AEX-listed) published their annual report in English only, while 40% published Dutch and English versions. In 2010, 60% of AEX companies produced reports in both languages.
Smaller companies were more likely to publish in both English and Dutch, with around three out of 10 publishing in English alone.
