Arrests in Brabant, Sweden in fraud investigation

Eight people have been arrested following raids on homes in Den Bosch and Rosmalen in connection with a major fraud inquiry, public broadcaster Omroep Brabant said on Tuesday. The eight are suspected of money laundering and forgery.

Some 200 police and other officials were involved in the raids and the arrest total may increase, the broadcaster said. Some of the people who have been taken into custody are members of the same family.
Omroep Brabant said a number of people have also been arrested in Sweden in connection with the case. It is not clear if they are also part of the same family.
