Amsterdam football club Ajax almost assured of premier league title
Amsterdam football club Ajax are almost assured of the premier league title following their 1-2 win over FC Twente on Sunday.
With just two matches to play, Ajax is six points ahead of number two Feyenoord of Rotterdam, with a +24 goal difference.
Ajax can claim their title on Wednesday when they host VVV Venlo.
Feyenoord beat AZ 1-0 on Sunday to move firmly into second place. The Alkmaar side are now in fourth place after PSV Eindhoven moved into third with a 3-1 win over Roda JC.
