Turkey is a stepping-stone to Middle-East and Russia: Imtech CEO

Dutch companies with an eye on the Middle-East and Russian markets should use Turkey as a stepping-stone, Gouda-based engineering group Imtech’s CEO RenĂ© van der Bruggen says in the Telegraaf.

Imtech has recently bought two Turkish companies: maritime technical services company Elkon and fusion company Arma-Elektropanc.
Van der Bruggen, who made the first contacts with the companies himself, told the Telegraaf the two are a good fit for Imtech. ‘I see them as stepping-stones to the markets of the Middle-East and the former Soviet Union where the Turks are already active,’ he told the paper.
