PVV ‘anti-Pole’ website is damaging the economy: MEP

The website set up by the PVV, where Dutch people can register their complaints about people from central and eastern Europe, is damaging the Dutch economy, Hans van Baalen, leader of the Dutch Liberals in the European parliament, says in Tuesday’s Telegraaf.

‘After the Fitna film, Geert Wilders is again playing with fire and threatening contracts for Dutch companies,’ the paper quotes Van Baalen as saying.
The European parliament is due to debate the website later on Tuesday but prime minister Mark Rutte will not attend to explain his position. Rutte has consistently refused to condemn the website, saying it is a matter for the PVV alone. His minority government has a formal alliance with Geert Wilders’ party.
Polish MEPs are so angry about the website they have called for a boycott of Dutch goods.
