Growing numbers of people cannot pay their bills

A growing number of people are unable to pay their bills, the family finance institute Nibud says on Friday.

Around 30% of people are behind with payments and 70% have debts in more than one area.
In 2009 that figure was 56%.
Not only are people in the red, but automatic payments are being cancelled and demands for payment of the rent or mortgage are being ignored, says the Nibud.
