Two men missing after boat sinks on IJsselmeer
Thursday 23 February 2012
Two men are missing, believed drowned, after their 12-metre boat sank on the Ijsselmeer lake on Wednesday evening.
A rescue boat, divers and helicopter were used to try to find the men, whose boat sank after getting into trouble and taking on water. The coastguard say the men are unlikely to be alive, given the water temperature.
It is not clear what happened to the boat, which disappeared some six km from Den Oever, news agency ANP reports.
