Dutch ambassador in Pretoria told to 'unlike' anti-PVV siteWednesday 08 February 2012 The Dutch ambassador in Pretoria, South Africa, has been told to 'unlike' a Facebook link to a website page entitled 'no government supported by the PVV', foreign minister Uri Rosenthal told MPs on Tuesday evening. Ambassador Andre Haspels had put the link on his personal Facebook page. Rosenthal said in answer to questions from PVV parliamentarians that the ambassador ' had to refrain from making public statements of such a clearly political nature' on his Facebook page. The anti-Islam PVV, which supports the minority government on economic policy in return for tighter immigration controls, said the ambassador had disqualified himself from the job for supporting 'political propaganda'. The page on the website of anti-racism organisation Nederlands Bekent Kleur states that the Christian Democrats and Liberal VVD have accepted the 'discriminatory standpoints of the undemocratic PVV' in order to form a government. © DutchNews.nl
@Jason - why do you call them fascist? The PVV are vehemently and vocally anti-Nazi By woods | February 8, 2012 5:08 PM woods - How can they be anti-Nazi when they are copying verbatim the policies of that regime? Replace the word 'Jews' with 'Muslims', add their new 'report-an-Eastern-European-to-us' website, see them discuss the posibility of a 'Wilders Youth', watch them silence the freedom of speech of those who speak against Wilders. Are you getting the idea yet? Hitler would have been proud of Wilders, in the same way the murderer Brevik, and other far-right extremists acknowledge him as one of their own, and even the Germans call him on it! - even if the man himself can't quite grasp the concept. By osita | February 8, 2012 6:15 PM A fascist is not the same as a nazi. They were two separate political parties, in separate countries in the 1930s. The PVV are an extremist, racist and repulsive organisation. They may claim to be anti-nazi, but their words and actions are very similar to the fascists, who also sought to blame all their problems on people from other countries. By Andy | February 8, 2012 7:52 PM @ woods: In either case, the hypocriticism still stands, as it does on a weekly basis with these toads. By Mike | February 8, 2012 8:04 PM @Andy. You say fascism & Nazism are not the same but then use the terms interchangably. MAKE UP YOUR MIND. By Donaugh | February 8, 2012 10:20 PM @woods It's simple.. The Nazis adopted fascism just like Wilders and his PVV do... By Ruud Lodder | February 9, 2012 12:20 AM @ woods you don't have to be a nazi to be a fascist.Hence why i choose the word fascist an not Nazi. By jason buttle | February 9, 2012 8:09 AM PVV is a party that scapegoats immigrants by manipulation of the weak minded. It has no realistic solution to the problems. It is comparable to thick make-up to hide a face full of acne. By The visitor | February 9, 2012 12:54 PM It is miserable to share a nationality with people like geert wilders who cannot survive without selecting scapegoats. He erodes the high trust society we had. A greater disgust for anybody I have never had By Rene | February 12, 2012 9:41 PM
