Opera, ballet and concert hall to form a single foundation

The Dutch national opera DNO, the national ballet company and the Muziektheater concert hall are to merge into a single foundation from January 2013, creating a 'national top institution', the Telegraaf reports on Monday.
DNO business director Truze Lodder said the three organisations had worked so closely together for the past 25 years that this is a 'logical and natural' step.
The three organisations also hope to be able to improve their finances by working together in marketing, sales, fund raising and sponsorship. They will all retain their 'artistic autonomy but will submit a joint application for government funding for the 2013-2016 period, the Telegraaf said.
