Music chain The Music Store to close down
Owner Kees Hermans is pulling the plug on his CD and DVD franchise group The Music Store because it is not profitable enough, the Financieele Dagblad reports on Tuesday.
Some 50 franchise owners are to go it alone under the name Music & More, while the rest of the 73 outlets will either shut or convert into Jamin sweet shops, the paper said. Hermans also owns the Jamin confectionary chain.
Hermans took over The Music Store group in 2010 after its then-owner Avalon went bankrupt.
