Prices cut for football fans at Oranje camping in Ukraine

Prices at the campsite being set up to welcome Dutch football fans to the European Championships next year have been slashed following strong criticism, the Volkskrant reports on Wednesday.

One night at the campsite in the Ukranian city of Charkov had been priced at €135, leading to wide protests from football fans.
The organisation has now cut the price for a three night stay from €269 to €209 – provided campers have their own accommodation.
The Oranjecamping initiative was set up by Dutch national Jokko de Wit who told the Volkskrant he is ‘pleased’ to be able to offer cut the prices so the company can offer affordable accommodation ‘in combination with lots of Dutch fun’.
