Man arrested for trying to blackmail pharma firm MSD
A 23-year-old man from Alphen aan den Rijn has been arrested for trying to blackmail the MSD pharmaceuticals firm in Oss, formally known as Organon.
Police said on Monday the man had demanded a ‘considerable’ sum of money from the company in return for his silence on ‘sensitive company information’.
It is unclear if the man is a current or former worker at MSD which has made hundreds of people redundant this year as part of a global reorganisation.
