The building industry is expecting a difficult first quarter in 2012, according to a report published on Tuesday by the sector organisations Bouwend Nederland, BNA and NLingenieurs.

The report says sector circumstances will not improve, with falling turnover, shrinking order books and growing unemployment.
Around half the architects questioned foresee a further drop in turnover in the period and construction companies are expecting a fall-off of 38%.
