Friday one of the warmest November days on record

Friday 04 November 2011

Friday is set to be one of the warmest on record with temperatures as high as around 20 Celsius in Limburg, the Telegraaf reports.

The highest November temperature ever recorded in the Netherlands was 21.1 Celsius in Oost-Maarland near Maastricht in 1994.

Today’s temperature is some six degrees above average for the time of year. Although it will remain warm over the weekend, it will be cooler at a maximum 12 Celsius next week, weather bureau weeronline.nl said.

I hope someone that is responsible for our safety and the future safety of the kids coming up behind us is reading this.....and taking action. I hope.

yesterday, for example, was between 6 and 7 degrees warmer than the average temp has been for a very long time, before this steep trend upward in global temps the last 15 years or so. did one single person reading this change their behavior and not plan a short flight or decide to take a train instead of a car? anyone? so then just how do we expect this warming trend - which has been scientifically related to our carbon output - to change? I hope the people with young children will answer first. Is the Easter Bunny or a politician going to save your kids futures? Bear in mind, its getting warmer and warmer, clock is ticking

@Bill: not much point in worrying so much seeing as you & I remain insignificant, apart from airing comments on the net.
"Que Sera, Sera"...

Visitor: if I can make just one single person more aware, if I can get one single person to just change one simple behavior that causes less damage to environment, that makes a better future for the children - then I've been successful. Because to me this is what being successful is. It is not achieving a certain salary level and position, or owning the 'right' car or a house in the 'right' neighborhood. That is a farce. Life is short, make a difference - a positive difference.
