Plastic bag story was leaked

The media are to blame for the derision aimed at Dutch Rail (NS) for its plans to provide passengers desperate to go to the toilet with plastic bags, the Telegraaf reports on Monday.

‘The information was leaded to the press and the whole country mocked us,’ NS director Ingris Thijssen writes in a letter to staff. ‘That is hurtful for all who work for the company.’
The letter was also leaked to the Telegraaf.
Earlier it had been suggested that passengers could use the driver’s cabin to do the necessary, but according to the paper drivers said they did not want to work in a urine-spattered environment.
In her letter, Thijssen says the driver’s cabin is a place of work, not a toilet.
