Petrol stations to start selling beer and wine again

Petrol stations are to mount a legal challenge to the ban on selling beer and wine by bringing back alcohol to at least five sales points next month.

They hope this will challenge the government into taking legal action and pledge to take the case as far as the European Court of Justice, the Telegraaf reports on Wednesday.
The ban on alcohol sales at petrol stations came into effect on November 1, 2000.
