Inflation rises to 2.7%

The annual rate of inflation rose again to 2.7% in September, according to new figures from the national statistics office CBS. Inflation had reached 2.6% in August.
Clothing and fuel prices were the main motor behind the rise.
According to harmonised EU figures, the inflation rate in the Netherlands is 3%, up 0.2 percentage points on August and in line with the European average.
