Gaddafi’s son ‘wants to turn himself in to The Hague court’

Saif al-Islam, the son of former Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi, wants to turn himself in to the International Criminal Court in The Hague, according to news agency Reuters.

Al-Islam and former intelligence chief Abdullah al-Senussi both want to hand themselves in to The Hague, Abdel Majid Mlegta, a senior official with Libya’s National Transitional Council told Reuters earlier this week.
Both men are wanted by the war crimes court.
Saif al-Islam has been on the run since Libyan forces overran his father’s home town Sirte at the weekend. He is thought to be somewhere near Libya’s southern border with Niger, Reuters said.
