Thriller writer Esther Verhoef has won this year’s NS Publieksprijs prize for Deja Vu, with 20% of the public vote.

In total 660,000 people voted for one of the six nominated books, twice as many as last year. The prize entitles the winner to free first class rail travel for a year plus €7,500 in cash.
