Thousands of civil servants who work for the national government will go on strike on November 1 in support of their pay claim.

Pay negotiations have been stalled since the beginning of the year. The government wants to impose a pay freeze while the unions are demanding a 2% pay rise.
The unions also want job guarantees for workers in sectors which will be hit by government cut-backs.
