A strike by public transport workers in Amsterdam, Rotterdam and The Hague set for later this month has been cancelled.


The unions have agreed to meet transport minister Melanie Schultz van Haegen for talks and have decided to postpone any further industrial action.
The unions are angry that the minister is forcing the three city councils to put public transport services out to tender, and has cut government grants for bus and tram services by €112m.
