Big bank, insurer supervisory boards to face expertise test

The supervisory boards at the Netherlands’ four biggest banks and four biggest insurance groups are to undergo an ‘expertise test’ within the next six months, finance minister Jan Kees de Jager told MPs on Monday.


The ‘expertise tests’ form part of the new financial sector supervisory system and will be administered by the central bank and sector regulator AFM, the Financieele Dagblad quotes the minister as saying.
