Thursday was officially a summer’s day

Thursday was officially a summer’s day because the temperature topped 25 Celsius in several places.

The last time such high temperatures were recorded in September was in 2006, weather website weeronline says.
With the warm, sunny weather continuing into the weekend, weather forecasters expect October 1 to be the warmest since 1908, when the temperature reached 24.1 Celsius.
Next week, however, the rain is set to return and the temperature will drop into the high teens.
