Engineering employers groups work together

The heavy and light engineering sectors are to work more closely together with the aim of developing a single pay and conditions agreement within two years and boosting the sector’s lobbying position, the Financieele Dagblad reports on Tuesday.

To this end, the technology sector employers organisation FME-CWM has joined the engineering sector federation FWM. This, in turn, has changed its name to the FWT – the Federatie Werkgevers in de Techniek.
The new federation will represent 29,000 companies and negotiate pay and conditions deals for 480,000 employees.
