Cabinet to agree burka ban on Friday, says RTL

The cabinet is set to agree to introduce a ban on the Islamic burka at Friday’s cabinet meeting, RTL news reports.

Women caught wearing a burka in public would be fined €380, the broadcaster says.
When the ban comes into force, the Netherlands will be the third country in Europe to ban the face-covering garment, behind France and Belgium.
Fewer than 100 women in the Netherlands are thought to wear a burka.
