At least eight dead porpoise were found on beaches in Zeeland and the Zuid-Holland delta on Sunday, bringing the total so far this month to 15, according to the sea mammal association.

In a normal year, 15 porpoise are washed up in August as a whole. Never before have so many of the dead marine mammals been found in one day.
Porpoise breed in the Oosterschelde estuary.
