Number of foreign students increases

The number of foreign students studying in the Netherlands rose from 7% to 10% in the past five years, according to figures from Dutch international education body Nuffic. The total number is 81,700.
They come from 61 different countries, with Germany at the top of the list with 46%, followed by China and Belgium.
Most of them are at university studying management, economics, agriculture or art.
Maastricht university has the most foreign students with 42.9%, followed by Codarts art school in Rotterdam and the Amsterdam Gerrit Rietveld Academy.
