Hairdressor with webcam in the toilets faces community service

The owner of a hairdressing salon in Nijverdal faces 120 hours of community service for filming his staff when they used the toilet.

The 39-year-old claims he fitted the camera into a basket in the rest room an effort to track down the person who repeatedly blocked the loo.
When the camera was discovered, all six members of staff went home sick and made formal complaints to the police.
However, because only one woman was recognisable on the film, only one complaint could actually be brought to court.
Last year, the owner of an Italian pizza parlour in Leiden was prosecuted for secretly filming women who used the restaurant’s rest room.
