Staffing group USG People to cut Dutch workforce by 10%

Staffing agency USG People is to cut almost 10% of its workforce in the Netherlands following a slower than expected recovery, particularly in the public and financial sectors.

‘There is a bit of a slower development, particularly in the government sector which is reorganising strongly, and makes this [the cuts] suitable,’ CFO Leen Geirnaerdt told Reuters news agency.
The company is cutting 360 full time jobs out of 3,900 in the Netherlands and closing 34 Dutch offices. The measures will generate savings of some €27m a year, the company said in a statement.
USG books some 40% of turnover in the Netherlands.
