Some 2,350 Dutch nationals are in foreign jails
There are some 2,350 Dutch nationals in foreign jails, most of whom (73%) are in prison for drugs offences, according to new foreign ministry figures.
Men account for the bulk of prisoners abroad and most are in Europe. However, there are also significant numbers in Peru (118) and the Dominican Republic (137).
