Greenpeace targets Nike headquarters

Activists from environmental organisation Greenpeace on Friday hung a banner on the Hilversum headquarters of international sportswear group Nike, calling on the firm to stop doing business with some Chinese firms.

Greenpeace claims some of Nike’s suppliers in China are responsible for polluting rivers and lakes with toxic waste.
The banner, in the form of a giant t-shirt, read ‘Champion a toxic free future. Just do it,’ in a reference to Nike’s advertising slogan.
