Five die in massive house fire – update
Two adults and three children died on Monday night when their house in Hoofddorp was engulfed by fire.
The bodies of the Iraqi Shirwan Mohammed Kadir, his Russian wife and three children were retrieved from the house on Tuesday morning.
The fire service says the fire broke out after an explosion which blew out the back gable of the house, reports news agency ANP. Police are carrying out extensive forensic tests.
It is the second time in two weeks that a house fire in Hoofddorp has resulted in fatalities.
