Cyclist Marianne Vos wins Giro Femminile

Dutch cyclist Marianne Vos on Sunday added the Giro d’Italia Femminile, the women’s version of the round Italy cycle race, to her string of titles.


Vos took five of the 10 stages and came third in the final 16.2 km time trial.
‘I still can’t believe I’ve won this jersey,’ Vos is quoted by website Velonation as saying after the race. ‘A ten-day race is not easy to win. After winning two stages last year and wearing the pink jersey for two days, this race was one of my goals for the year.’
