Robin Haase out of Wimbledon with injury
Dutch tennis player Robin Haase pulled out of the third round of the Wimbledon tennis tournament in London on Saturday after sustaining an injury in the fourth set of his match against Mardy Fish of the US.
Fish was ahead 6-3, 6-7, 6-2, 1-1 when Haase suddenly threw in the towel after holding his serve.
Haase told the umpire he could not continue because of a knee problem and went straight to the net to congratulate Fish. The umpire asked if the Dutchman wanted to see his trainer, to which Haase replied: ‘It’s no good, he can’t do anything for it’.
