Public transport firms in court to head off strike

Public transport companies in Amsterdam, The Hague and Rotterdam are going to court on Friday and Monday in an effort to stop next week’s planned public transport strikes.

Bus, tram and metro workers plan to take industrial action in protest at the government’s plans to cut spending on public transport and to force the three cities to put services out to tender.
The strike is set to take place after the morning rush hour on June 29.
