New management board agreed for Ajax

The new management board of Amsterdam football club Ajax was agreed on Monday evening by the club’s members’ council after the candidates introduced themselves during a meeting at the club’s Arena ground.

Management consultant Steven ten Have is the new chairman. He is joined by former international player Edgar Davids, lawyer Marjan Olfers and tv producer Paul Römer.
Johan Cruijff, who set the management changes in motion when the club refused to implement his plan to improve technical standards, already said he will sit on both the management and supervisory board.
Shareholders now have to formally accept the new board members at a general meeting which will be held in early August.
