Home owners to go public with burglars caught on film
Home owners lobby group VEH has launched a burglary-prevention website where people can place photographs and film from security cameras which show their homes being broken into, the Telegraaf reports.
‘You often see photos of armed robbers but police and justice ministry officials pay hardly any attention to burglary,’ VEH spokesman Hans André de la Porte told the paper.
The organisation hopes its campaign will scare off potential burglars. ‘There is a break-in every 90 minutes and that must stop,’ the spokesman said.
