Public transport workers in Amsterdam, Rotterdam and The Hague will go on strike again on June 29 after the morning rush hour, union officials said on Thursday.

Once rush hour is over, bus and tram workers will head for The Hague to take part in a demonstration against the government’s plans to cut spending on public and transport and to force the three cities to put their services out to public tender.
Meanwhile, talks on a new pay deal for regional bus workers have broken down, news website nu.nl reports. The employers have offered 2.5% over two years and a one-off payout of 0.5% of salary.
The unions say this amounts to a pay cut given that inflation is rising.
