Financial crisis hits insurance companies
The financial crisis had an adverse effect on the insurance business in 2010, a report on the industry from the Association of Insurers shows.
Total income fell from 5% to 2% of premium income and volume by 1% to €76.9bn. Insurers did, however, maintain their solvency.
