Dutch get €218m rebate from EU

The Netherlands is to get €218m back from Brussels, reports Trouw on Tuesday. The money will be deducted from the country’s EU budget contribution for 2011.


Brussels is giving back €4.5bn in total to its member states. Of this, €2.7bn comes from unspent budget and the rest from fines and interest.
