Dutch artist wins BP portrait award

Dutch artist Wim Heldens has won this year’s £25,000 BP award for his portrait of a young man.


Heldens, 57, took the prize for a portrait called Distracted, featuring Jeroen – a 25-year-old to whom Heldens has been a father figure since he was four.
