Cabinet to discuss public broadcaster shake-up

The minority coalition and alliance partner PVV have reached a deal on reforming the public sector broadcasting system, according to media reports on Thursday.

The plan, a ‘substantial document of over 40 pages’, will be discussed by the cabinet tomorrow, the Telegraaf said, quoting well informed sources.
The plan includes the implementation of €200m in cuts by 2015. In particular, spending on the world service is expected to be sharply reduced.
