Volcanic ash reaches Holland, limited problems so far
The cloud of volcanic ash from the latest eruption on Iceland reached parts of Dutch airspace on Wednesday but not in concentrations high enough to hinder air traffic, a spokeswoman for the air traffic safety body LVNL told news agency ANP.
However, some northern German airports – Bremen, Hamburg and Hannover – have been closed because of the ash.
Flights to Scotland and northern England are also still being disrupted.
