Stop taxing households who make their own energy, says MP
Labour MP Diederik Samsom has launched a campaign to stop the tax office charging value added tax on electricity generated by private householders.
At the moment, people with solar panels or wind turbines still have to pay tax on the energy they produce, a situation which Samsom told BNR radio is ‘absurd’.
