The national forensic institute is looking into claims that a computerised breathalyser system may have over-exaggerated the amount of alcohol consumed by suspected drink drivers.

Some 30,000 drivers are given an extra test at police stations every year, and tens of thousands of those results may now be invalid, the AD reports on Tuesday.
The problem came to light after a 47-year-old woman was told she had consumed a near fatal amount of alcohol even though she denied it and police officers did not think she looked drunk.
A software error is now thought to be behind the mistake.
