Amsterdam police have arrested a 23-year-old man on suspicion of supplying dozens of fake diplomas, from nursing and childcare to teaching certificates.

The arrest took place last week and the man has been remanded in custody for 14 days.
The man was tracked down after city council officials in The Hague became suspicious about the diplomas shown them by a young woman seeking to start a daycare centre, the paper said.
