InHolland students want compensation for sub-standard degrees

Around 100 current and former students from the hbo college InHolland have contacted student organisations with complaints about their courses and calls for financial compensation.

The complaints follow last week’s revelations about poor standards at several InHolland courses.
Student organisations are due to meet the college authorities next week to talk about possible compensation for students whose degrees are now deemed sub-standard.
inHolland chairman Doekle Terpstra has so far said compensation would consist of extra courses for students rather than a refund of their fees.
The inspectors also criticised standards at several other hbo colleges, also known as universities of applied science.
