Inflation tops 2%, as petrol prices rise

The annual rate of inflation rose to 2.1% in April, the first time it has topped 2% since November 2008, the national statistics office CBS said on Tuesday.


Inflation has been driven by higher petrol prices, which are up some 10% on a year ago. Coffee, food and tobacco also added to the increase.
