Dutchman takes over at Mecom

The British newspaper group Mecom, owners of Dutch publishers Wegener, on Tuesday announced the appointment of Tom Toumazis as its new CEO.

Toumazis is currently commercial director of tv production company Endemol, after an eight-year stint at Walt Disney.
He takes over from David Montgomery, who was forced out earlier this year following a shareholder vote.
Toumazis is expected to take up his new post in mid-August.
