People who get special payments because they have chronic health problems should no longer have to justify how they spend the money, a government committee looking at reducing red tape, said on Friday.

‘People who get child benefits and student grants do not have to explain what they do with the money,’ Steven van Eijck, chairman of the Actal committee is quoted as saying in the Volkskrant.
At the moment, people who get personal health budgets have to show officials what they spent their money on, which also puts extra pressure on healthcare professionals, Van Eijck said.
